Anticipation

Fed for years by tales of adventurers, seekers, outdoor enthusiasts, pilgrims, and all manner of random walkers, I have always imagined what it might be like to walk all or part of one of the world's great walks. While hardly epic, the opportunity - and feasibility - of walking the northern "half" of the Portuguese Camino de Santiago now lies before me, planned, mapped, reserved and paid for.   Within weeks, Marcia and I will wing our way to Porto, Portugal, where we rendezvous with our good hiking buddies, Jill and Dave Haus, to begin 13 days of walking to arrive in Santiago, Spain, some 160-175 miles distant. My goal with this blog is to share the experience with you, whatever that might bring.  If you "follow" this blog, you will get a notice when there are updates.  Otherwise check back whenever you care to.
